The NASCAR Xfinity Series made an impressive debut on The CW Network last Friday, marking a major success for both the series and the network. With 906,000 average viewers tuning in, the race at Bristol Motor Speedway became the most-watched Xfinity event since July 20, and the network’s highest-rated broadcast in more than eight months.
The race, which peaked at over one million viewers as Cole Custer moved toward victory, saw significant increases across key demographics compared to previous races. Viewership in the Adults 25-54 bracket jumped by 52%, while Adults 18-49 saw a 50% rise, and overall total viewers increased by 16% compared to the previous race on September 14. Compared to the August 23 Xfinity Series race, total viewership climbed 10%, with substantial boosts in younger adult demographics.
For The CW Network, the race was a game-changer, delivering triple-digit gains compared to its regular Friday primetime averages. The rise in viewers suggests that more fans are turning to The CW for live sports content.
The next race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series will air on Saturday, September 28, from Kansas Speedway, with live coverage starting at 3:30 p.m. ET on The CW.
