AXS TV is set to air a full run of the second season of the music series Nashville across Mother’s Day weekend. The channel plans to show all 22 episodes from that year, starting Saturday, May 10 at 12 PM Eastern and continuing into Sunday, May 11 at 10 AM Eastern.
The series centers on the world of country music in Tennessee’s capital city. It follows the paths of seasoned star Rayna James, played by Connie Britton, and Hayden Panettiere’s character, the newer artist Juliette Barnes. The second season deals with their careers and personal issues within the competitive music industry.
That particular year for the series included several memorable songs like “Black Roses,” “Undermine,” and “A Life That’s Good.” The episodes also featured appearances from real-life music figures, including Kelly Clarkson, Zac Brown, Brad Paisley, and Kelly Pickler.
As part of the weekend’s lineup, AXS TV also plans to air an episode of The Big Interview: Nashville Special. This program features Dan Rather talking with series regulars Connie Britton and Charles Esten about the show’s early years and where their characters were headed. That special broadcast is set for Saturday, May 10 at 11:30 AM Eastern, right before the season two block starts.
