The saga of Natalia Grace, the Ukrainian orphan whose adoption by an Indiana couple sparked accusations of deception and abuse, continues. Investigation Discovery (ID) announced a new installment in the ongoing docuseries, “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter,” slated to premiere in January 2025. This third chapter comes hot on the heels of “Natalia Speaks,” which ended abruptly when the adoptive family, the Manses, dramatically cut ties with Natalia mid-filming. Their exasperated declaration, “We’re done, we’re done with her,” serves as an ominous cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering what fresh turmoil awaits.
While “The Final Chapter” aims to offer some resolution to Natalia’s complicated story, the recently released teaser trailer suggests more questions than answers. The trailer (see below) hints at a “rescue mission,” further accusations of abuse, and Natalia facing a fresh set of challenges as she seeks healing and stability after years of controversy. Exactly who is rescuing whom and from what remains unclear, muddying the waters even more of this already convoluted tale.
For those unfamiliar with the story, the initial installment, “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace,” explored the Manses’ claims that Natalia was not a child but a sociopathic adult masquerading as one. “Natalia Speaks” offered Natalia’s perspective, but the Manses’ sudden departure left their side of the story unresolved. Now, with “The Final Chapter,” ID seems intent on wringing every last drop of drama from this ongoing real-life soap opera. One can only hope that amidst the sensationalism, Natalia’s well-being and pursuit of a normal life aren’t lost in the shuffle.
“The Curious Case of Natalia Grace” and “Natalia Speaks” are currently streaming on Max for those needing to catch up before the new installment airs on ID in January 2025.
“The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter” is produced by Hot Snakes Media for Investigation Discovery. Executive producers are Eric Hoberman, Steve Gordon, and Courtney Matthews.
