Natasha Lyonne in “Poker Face” Super Bowl Ad From Peacock
Peacock’s POKER FACE ad will include the show’s lead character riffing, seemingly in real time, on actual ads from other brands that viewers will see beforehand in the telecast, providing a novel and unprecedented spin on Super Bowl advertising.
This new Super Bowl commercial, directed by Dan Opsal of Hungry Man, will debut on February 12 during the Big Game. Peacock updates its POKER FACE schedule every Thursday with brand new episodes.
In the commercial, Charlie and another customer are seen sitting at a pub and watching the game. The man questions her lie detection skills before turning the conversation to the commercials shown during the Super Bowl.
This “meta” twist on advertising was produced in tandem with M&M’s and Google Pixel, and it gives the impression that Natasha’s character is watching the game with the spectator.
Fans of M&M’S should stay alert for the brand’s big promotion during the Big Game.
Charlie (Natasha Lyonne), who has an uncanny knack for knowing when someone is lying, stars in POKER FACE, a 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series. She packs up her Plymouth Barracuda and starts the road, only to find herself immersed in a fresh mystery at each destination.
