NBC is about to dish up a brand new cookery contest with a twist. Instead of just highlighting culinary prowess, “Yes, Chef!” aims to temper fiery personalities in the kitchen, guided by none other than José Andrés and Martha Stewart.
Set to premiere Monday, April 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following “The Voice”, this high-stakes show will throw 12 chefs with attitude problems into the deep end. Nominated by those who know them best (or worst!), these talented individuals are held back by their own egos and tempers.
Produced by Magical Elves, the team behind “Top Chef,” “Yes, Chef!” Will be a blend of cut-throat competition and genuine personal growth. Andrés and Stewart will act as both hosts and mentors, challenging the contestants each week to confront their behavioral issues head-on whilst delivering top notch cuisine.
The ultimate winner won’t just be a skilled cook; they’ll need to show they can work as part of a team and keep their cool under pressure. The prize? A cool $250,000, courtesy of Purely Elizabeth granola.
With a production team that includes Casey Kriley, Jo Sharon and Jimmy Fox, “Yes, Chef!” aims to serve up drama, redemption and, of course, mouth-watering food. NBCUniversal Formats will distribute the show internationally.
