NBC has unveiled details for its monumental “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” celebrating five decades of Saturday Night Live. The live, three-hour broadcast will originate from the legendary Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center on Sunday, February 16, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event will be simulcast on both NBC and Peacock.
A constellation of entertainment’s brightest stars is slated to participate. The confirmed guest list includes luminaries such as Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Woody Harrelson, with further announcements anticipated.
In addition to the main special, Peacock is presenting exclusive SNL50 content. On Friday, February 14, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, Peacock will livestream “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” from Radio City Music Hall. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, this concert, executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson, will feature a wide range of musical acts. Performances include Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, and many others. Peacock subscribers can also access original documentary programs like “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night” and NBC’s “Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music.”
