NBC has announced that the season two premiere of the behavioral science-focused drama series, The Irrational, will shift to a new date due to the upcoming vice-presidential debate scheduled for Tuesday, October 1. The show’s return is now set for the following week, airing on Tuesday, October 8 at 10 p.m.
Starring Jesse L. Martin as world-renowned professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer, The Irrational focuses on Mercer’s unique expertise in understanding human behavior, as he lends his insights to a range of high-stakes cases and mysteries. With his trusted team and social science experiments, Alec solves crimes and uncovers truths, offering answers to intriguing and irrational questions.
The season two premiere will be preceded by a two-hour edition of the popular singing competition show, The Voice, starting at 8 p.m.
The Irrational is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, for NBC. Executive producers include Arika Lisanne Mittman, Mark Goffman, Sam Baum, David Frankel, and Robert Wolfe.
