NCIS: Close to Home (CBS, Monday, March 3, 2025)

NCIS Key Art

Monday night on CBS, the NCIS team trades their usual globetrotting investigations for a case a little closer to home. In “Close to Home,” airing at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Jimmy Palmer’s (Brian Dietzen) daughter makes a discovery that sends ripples of intrigue through the naval yard: a hefty pile of cash stashed near the library. Now, who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned buried treasure story?

When Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) gets a text from Jimmy’s daughter about the found fortune, the NCIS crew kicks into high gear. Forget international espionage and high-seas chases – this time, the mystery unfolds practically in their own backyard. They’ll need all their investigative prowess to figure out where the money came from and, more importantly, who it belongs to. Is it drug money? A ransom payment gone wrong? Or maybe just someone’s really, really misplaced retirement fund?

Written by Amy Rutberg and directed by Tawnia McKieman, “Close to Home” aims to explore how an unexpected discovery can throw even the most seasoned investigators off balance. Will they crack the case, or will this pile of cash remain a mystery? Tune in to CBS this Monday to find out.
