Suburban life, often touted as the epitome of tranquility, has a way of turning… complicated. “Neighborhood Wars,” A&E’s voyeuristic peek into the petty (and sometimes not-so-petty) conflicts of cohabitation, returns for its seventh season. In the second episode, titled “Ranting-Neighbor Repellant,” the series serves up a fresh batch of feuds, ranging from beach battles to disinfectant showdowns.

On the shores of a picturesque Illinois lake, a property line dispute erupts, turning a shared beach into a battleground. Two neighbors clash over access rights, proving that not all waterfront properties are created equal, especially when it comes to who gets to plant their beach umbrella where. Meanwhile, in California, a woman takes matters into her own hands when faced with a neighbor’s racist rant, opting for a disinfectant spray as her weapon of choice. It’s a tactic that’s certainly… unconventional, raising questions about the effectiveness of Lysol as a social justice tool.

And finally, in Oregon, roommates find themselves at odds with a neighbor who’s taken signage to a whole new level. Accused of owing $58 for truck damage, they’re greeted by a large, accusatory sign, turning their front yard into a public shaming display. It’s a passive-aggressive move of epic proportions, begging the question: what happened to a good old-fashioned conversation?

As more people flock to the suburbs, “Neighborhood Wars” highlights the inevitable friction that arises when personal space shrinks and tolerance wears thin. It’s a darkly comedic look at the human condition, reminding us that sometimes, the greatest battles are fought not on distant shores, but over fences and shared driveways.

“Neighborhood Wars” airs Tuesdays at 9:30 PM on A&E.
