For a slight shift in the endless parade of neighborly disputes, A&E’s Neighborhood Wars is putting its focus on the animal kingdom this Tuesday, June 24, at 9:30 PM ET. The episode, Top 10: Animal Behavior, compiles some of the wildest and most absurd incidents involving creatures causing chaos in otherwise quiet communities.
This special installment of Season 8 rounds up a collection of animal-related shenanigans, ranging from runaway pigs making a dash for it to cunning primates outsmarting their human counterparts. All of these moments are, as one might guess, captured by the ubiquitous presence of cell phones, home security cameras, and other bits of tech that turn everyday happenings into viral content.
Neighborhood Wars has always been about those small-scale squabbles and odd occurrences that happen when people live in close quarters. As more folks trade city life for suburban spaces, the friction points increase. This particular episode looks to be a lighter take on the series’ usual fare, a chance to chuckle at the antics of four-legged (or two-legged, in the case of some primates) troublemakers rather than the usual human-on-human drama. It’s a good bet for a bit of harmless fun.
