From the ridiculous to the sublime. After an hour of neighborly squabbles, A&E offers a palate cleanser with “Neighborhood Wars: Top 10: Hometown Heroes.” This special episode celebrates ordinary people who performed extraordinary acts of bravery, from fighting off wild animals to rescuing people from burning buildings.
It’s a welcome change of pace from the usual fare of petty arguments and screaming matches. Will we see heartwarming stories of neighbors helping neighbors? Acts of selfless courage in the face of danger? I’m hoping for a healthy dose of inspiration, a reminder that there’s still good in the world, even amidst all the chaos.
