In Hallmark Mystery movie A Fatal Engagement, Nelly, an advice columnist played by Pascale Hutton, receives a mysterious, handwritten letter from her childhood friend Dahlia (Sarah Grey), alleging that her boyfriend, Blake, is unfaithful. Intrigued, Nelly decides to investigate, but upon arriving at Blake’s home, she discovers his dead body. The plot thickens as Dahlia becomes the prime suspect in Blake’s murder.
Nelly finds herself working alongside the new detective in town, the handsome Michael Hogan (Kavan Smith), to clear Dahlia’s name. Determined to prove her friend’s innocence, Nelly is determined to uncover the truth.
