Netflix, in collaboration with Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision and Banijay, has announced a new documentary series titled Famous Last Words. The series will feature final interviews with prominent cultural icons, with episodes airing posthumously.

Based on the Danish format Det Sidste Ord, the show will present long-form interviews with notable personalities who have made significant contributions to humanity and culture. The guests and episodes will be announced and aired only after the participant’s passing, with the interviews preserved by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The private recording sessions will be intimate conversations, capturing the guests’ raw and emotional reflections. This approach creates a unique and confidential space for the interviewees.

Brad Falchuk, Mikkel Bondesen, David Goldberg, and David Friedman will executive produce the series for the US market. Netflix has secured worldwide rights to the program.
