The popular series “You” has been renewed for a fifth and final season, according to Netflix. Since its debut in December 2018, the show has become an international sensation, with each of its first three seasons surpassing the previous one in terms of hours viewed over 28 days.

The fourth season, which has spent five weeks on the Global Top 10 English TV list and has made it to the Top 10 in 90 countries, marks the end of showrunner Sera Gamble’s tenure. Gamble, however, will remain involved in the show as an Executive Producer while Executive Producers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo take over as co-showrunners.

“You” is based on Caroline Kepnes’ book series of the same name and was developed by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti. Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, who serve as executive producers, expressed their gratitude to Netflix for the opportunity to produce the show as well as to Gamble and the other members of the team.

The first four seasons of Warner Bros. Television’s “You” are now streaming on Netflix worldwide.
