Netflix Trailer Drop for Guy Ritchie Series “The Gentlemen,” Premieres March 7

Fans of British crime dramas are in for a treat as Netflix recently unveiled the full-length trailer for “The Gentlemen,” a brand new series created by Guy Ritchie and based on his movie of the same name. The show, starring Emmy-nominated actor Theo James, is set to premiere on Netflix on March 7, 2024.

“The Gentlemen” follows the story of Eddie Horniman (played by Theo James), who unexpectedly inherits his father’s expansive country estate and soon discovers that it is part of a cannabis empire. Caught in the crosshairs of various unsavory characters from Britain’s criminal underworld, Eddie must navigate this treacherous world in an attempt to protect his family. However, as he becomes more entangled in the criminal lifestyle, he finds himself developing a taste for it.

The series takes place within the same universe as Ritchie’s film “The Gentlemen,” but introduces a completely new cast that brings together Hollywood talent and esteemed British film and TV legends. Viewers can expect to delve deeper into this criminal world while being introduced to an engaging new storyline.

With its premiere scheduled for March 7th, 2024, “The Gentlemen” will consist of eight gripping episodes that promise to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

One intriguing aspect of “The Gentlemen” is its diverse ensemble cast:

Theo James portrays Eddie Horniman aka “The Duke.” Eddie unexpectedly finds himself thrust into a role he never wanted after inheriting his father’s title and estate. As he grapples with newfound responsibilities and criminal elements associated with owning the estate, Eddie’s character will face unprecedented tests.

Joely Richardson assumes the role of Lady Sabrina aka “The Matriarch.” As Eddie’s mother and widow of the Duke of Halstead, Sabrina exudes sophistication while concealing her salacious past and sharp wit. She becomes increasingly concerned about Eddie’s safety as he delves deeper into the criminal world. Though her family remains unaware of certain aspects of her life, Sabrina supports all her children discreetly, honed from years by their father’s side.

Giancarlo Esposito appears as Uncle Stan aka “The American.” This extravagantly wealthy American is not your typical methamphetamine dealer. Obsessed with British aristocracy and everything posh, Uncle Stan finds himself captivated by the new Duke of Halstead. However, some suspect that there may be ulterior motives behind Stan’s interest in securing Bobby Glass’ substantial market share.

Kaya Scodelario takes on the role of Susie Glass aka “The Boss.” Effortlessly stylish and possessing her late father Bobby Glass’ determination, Susie manages her father’s criminal organization. However, when Eddie becomes an obstacle early on, her patience wears thin. As the series progresses, Susie begins to understand her father’s interest in Eddie, and their relationship develops in unexpected ways.

Daniel Ings portrays Freddy Horniman aka “The Liability.” Always aware of his status as the rightful heir to the Halstead estate, Freddy’s life has been characterized by irresponsibility and failed business ventures. When he discovers that his inheritance has been passed over to his younger brother, a newfound spark within Freddy emerges. The criminal elements infiltrating his family’s lives may be just what he needs to turn his luck around.

Vinnie Jones embodies Geoff Seacombe aka “The Gamekeeper.” As the loyal gamekeeper of Halstead Manor, Geoff possesses an unwavering dedication to both the land and the Hornimans. While a sense of quiet sorrow surrounds him due to a long-held secret, Geoff stands as a constant presence for Eddie as he navigates illicit activities on the estate grounds.

The Gentlemen” premieres on March 7th with Guy Ritchie serving as creator alongside co-writer Matthew Read. Additional episodes are written by Haleema Mirza, Billy and Theo Mason Wood, Stuart Carolan, and John Jackson. The series is directed by Guy Ritchie, Nima Nourizadeh, Eran Creevy, and David Caffrey. The show is executive produced by Guy Ritchie, Will Gould, Matthew Read, Frith Tiplady, Marc Helwig, Bill Block, Ivan Atkinson, and Marn Davies. It is co-produced by Netflix in collaboration with Moonage Pictures and Miramax TV.
