Beginning on April 29, Bounce will air the first seven episodes of the show in back-to-back double episodes every Saturday night at 8PM ET/7PM CT. On Saturday, May 27, at 5:30 p.m., a spring marathon will begin.
With 2.14 million people tuning in to its premiere episodes in March, “Act Your Age” became the most-watched half-hour series launch in Bounce’s history. The show was produced in conjunction with MGM. Following NBC’s “Night Court” and “Lopez vs. Lopez,” which were also both new comedies, “Act Your Age” ranked as the season’s No. 3 new comedy.
What is Act Your Age about
Three vibrant and successful women in their 50s from the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area come to a crossroads in their lives and decide that working together is the best way forward. Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, The Mayor, Big Shot) and Kym Whitley (“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Next Friday,” “Young and Hungry”) star in “Act Your Age,” along with Tisha Campbell (“Uncoupled,” “My Wife and Kids,” “Dr. Ken”).
Bernadette, the no-nonsense real estate developer played by Whitley. Keisha, portrayed by Campbell, is the group’s wild card; she’s always getting into trouble. Angela, portrayed by Brown, is the former First Lady of Norfolk, Virginia, who is trying to start over after the death of her husband, a respected career politician.
Angela and Bernadette’s 20-something children are played by Mariah Robinson (“The Wrong Valentine”) and Nathan Anderson (“Black-ish,” “Richie Rich,”) in this multigenerational comedy.
Who makes Act Your Age
Alyson Fouse (“Big Shot,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Wanda Sykes Show“) created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series is produced by MGM Television and executive produced by Barry Poznick, Bradley Gardner (“Hot in Cleveland“), and David Hudson; and co-executive produced by Ranada Shepard and Ken Ornstein (“Everybody Loves Raymond“).
Bounce premieres new episodes of “Act Your Age” Saturdays @ 8PM ET, with a primetime play for the west coast @ 8PM PT. They are added to Bounce’s streaming service Brown Sugar on Sunday mornings.
