New Cast Members Announced for Season Two of Netflix’s Live-Action “One Piece”

Fans of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the iconic manga series “One Piece” received exciting casting news during the recent Geeked Week event in Atlanta.

Joining the previously announced cast for season two are Joe Manganiello (known for his roles in “True Blood” and the “Magic Mike” franchise) and Lera Abova (“Bumper in Berlin,” “Honey Don’t”). Manganiello will portray the enigmatic Mr. 0, while Abova takes on the role of the enigmatic Miss All Sunday. Both characters are shrouded in mystery and possess powers yet to be revealed.

The announcement also included a surprise behind-the-scenes glimpse of the season two table read, hinting at the return of the character Chopper in the upcoming episodes. Earlier in the week, fans were treated to a special set tour for season two, led by Jeff Ward, who reprises his role as the villainous Buggy the Clown.

Manganiello and Abova join a growing ensemble cast for season two. Previously announced additions include Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk. Several fan-favorite characters will also be returning, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, and Jacob Romero as Usopp.

Production for season two is currently underway in Cape Town, South Africa. “One Piece” is a live-action pirate adventure based on the best-selling manga series of all time, created by Eiichiro Oda. The series is a co-production between Shueisha, Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner), and Netflix.
