New Dr Who Trailer Reveals Titles for Upcoming Specials

The 60th anniversary of Doctor Who will be celebrated later this year, and just before the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final was broadcast live from Liverpool, viewers were taken on a journey to another world when an explosive new trailer was released for the show.

A total of three mysterious coded teasers appeared on BBC One in the weeks leading up to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Each preview featured a binary code that, when decoded, revealed hints about the titles of one of three holiday episodes. The new trailer revealed the titles on the night of the Eurovision Grand Final, as promised in the teasers.

Teasers of other epic moments, including those starring Neil Patrick Harris and Yasmin Finney, who enter the world of Doctor Who for the 60th anniversary special episodes, were also featured in the exclusive trailer, giving viewers an enthralling look at what’s to come with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna Noble.

The return of the Doctor

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three special episodes starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. After the holidays, viewers can watch Ncuti Gatwa’s debut as the 15th Doctor.

The premiere of the new season of Doctor Who will air on the BBC in the UK and Ireland exclusively. Outside of the United Kingdom and Ireland, new episodes of Doctor Who will only be available on Disney+.
