New Netflix Series to Celebrate Brazil’s 1970 World Cup Heroes

Netflix is partnering with 02 Filmes to create a new fictional miniseries about Brazil’s legendary 1970 World Cup-winning football team. The series will show both the on-field action and the personal lives of the players.

Here’s the Lowdown: The miniseries, directed by Pedro Morelli and Paulo Morelli, will bring to life key moments from the 1970 World Cup. It will focus on the players, including Pelé, Tostão, Félix, Carlos Alberto, Jairzinho, Gérson, and Rivellino, as well as coach Zagallo.
