Investigation Discovery (ID) and PEOPLE magazine are teaming up once more for a new season of People Magazine Investigates. The series, which expands on PEOPLE’s true crime reporting, offers an in-depth look at disturbing cases across the United States, featuring interviews with key individuals, archival footage, and fresh perspectives. The new season premieres on Monday, October 28, at 9/8c on ID.

The upcoming season will feature several chilling cases, including the infamous clown-costume murder in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the brutal killing of a young mother in Illinois by a respected public servant. Additionally, the show will explore the case of a Maryland woman who uncovers her birth father’s dark criminal past through a genealogy test.

The season opens with a back-to-back premiere, beginning with The Boogeyman at 9/8c, detailing the heartbreaking abduction of a nine-year-old girl in Homosassa, Florida. This is followed by A Story to Die For at 10/9c, which focuses on the mysterious death of a journalist discovered in a house fire in Upperville, Virginia, leading investigators down an unexpected path.
