Discovery Channel has announced new seasons of Expedition X and Expedition Bigfoot. With both shows premiering on Wednesday, August 14, at 9 PM ET/PT, Expedition X sends adventurer Josh Gates and his team of investigators, including new host Heather Amaro, a third-generation paranormal researcher, on spine-tingling expeditions into the unknown.
In the season opener, the team investigates West Virginia’s Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, a sprawling abandoned psychiatric hospital with a tragic history and countless reports of paranormal activity. They uncover shocking secrets and battle frightening forces beyond comprehension.
This season, Expedition X tackles mysterious phenomena, from Scotland’s Loch Ness and its legendary sea creature to the haunted streets of Savannah, Georgia. They also hunt for the skunk ape in the Florida Everglades and a blood-hungry beast in the woods of Michigan, believed to be part of a shocking government cover-up.
Following Expedition X, a new season of Expedition Bigfoot premieres at 10 PM ET/PT. An elite team, including primatologist Dr. Mireya Mayor and Bigfoot experts Bryce Johnson and Russell Acord, embarks on a groundbreaking hunt for the legendary cryptid in Northern California’s Lost Coast, believed to be the epicenter of Bigfoot activity.
Utilizing advanced technology, the team searches for a Bigfoot family’s nesting site.
Both shows will premiere on Discovery on Wednesday August 14 from 9:00pm.
