The festivities will be hosted by the familiar trio of Charlie Pickering, Zan Rowe, and Concetta Caristo, guiding viewers through a night of music, entertainment, and the iconic Sydney fireworks display. Williams’ performance, featuring a selection of his greatest hits, marks a major coup for the network and promises a memorable start to the new year for viewers across Australia.
But the party starts well before the clock strikes twelve. “Calling Country,” a curated performance by Nooky, will kick off the evening with a unique blend of live music and vibrant animations projected onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge. In addition to the musical performances, viewers will also get a sneak peek behind the curtain of Robbie Williams’ new biopic, “Better Man.” The broadcast will also acknowledge a milestone anniversary for Triple J, celebrating 50 years on air with a selection of classic Hottest 100 tracks and appearances from iconic hosts.
As midnight approaches, all eyes will turn to the sky for Sydney’s world-famous fireworks spectacle, a dazzling display of pyrotechnics set against the backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The party doesn’t end there: immediately following the fireworks, the “rage NYE Party Special” will keep the energy high with a curated playlist featuring selections from Kylie Minogue, Iva Davies, Sofi Tukker, and many more. The “New Year’s Eve 2024” broadcast will air live AEDT, with local time broadcasts available for other Australian states.
