Things are about to get a whole lot hotter in the kitchen on FOX’s “Next Level Chef.” This week’s episode, ominously titled “The Thunderdome,” signals a major shift in the competition. The team dynamic goes out the window, as chefs are forced to go it alone in a high-stakes battle for survival.
The in-season tournament kicks off on the top level, where chefs enjoy access to the finest ingredients available. But as with any tiered competition, performance is everything. Those who excel will stay on top, while those who falter risk being banished to the lower levels, where the pickings are slim and the pressure even higher.
