AMC Networks has announced that actor Nicholas Denton will star in its upcoming series, tentatively titled Anne Rice’s The Talamasca, scheduled to premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+. Production is set to commence in Manchester, England, next month.
This six-part series will centre on a secretive organization, The Talamasca, and its mission to monitor and control supernatural beings, including witches and vampires. Denton will play Guy Anatole, a brilliant and handsome law student who discovers his unique connection to the supernatural world.
Guy is approached by The Talamasca, who have been observing him since his childhood, and he becomes entangled in their covert world. He must confront the dark and treacherous aspects of his true self to maintain the delicate equilibrium between the mortal and supernatural realms.
The executive production team includes Oscar-nominated John Lee Hancock, who will also direct, Mark Lafferty, and award-winning producer Mark Johnson, overseeing the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Hancock and Lafferty will serve as co-showrunners.
Anne Rice’s The Talamasca expands the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, joining the critically acclaimed Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and the forthcoming second season of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, both airing on AMC and AMC+.
