The story follows a down-on-his-luck private investigator, Peter Parker, in 1930s New York. Parker, once the city’s only superhero, must confront his past as he becomes embroiled in a new mystery. This mature and nuanced take on the Spider-Man narrative explores a world of darkness and intrigue, a stark contrast to the bright and vibrant New York of the original comics.

This is not Cage’s first involvement with the Spider-Verse. He previously lent his voice talent to the animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse“, playing the role of Spider-Man Noir. This live-action series, however, marks the first time this specific incarnation of Spider-Man will be brought to life on screen.

The series is in capable hands, with Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serving as co-showrunners and executive producers. Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on “Fleabag” and “Killing Eve”, will direct and executive produce the first two episodes, setting the tone for the series.
