Brighton, a city known for its vibrant nightlife, is home to ten thousand revelers every weekend. And as the sun sets and the party starts, it’s up to the “Night Coppers” to keep the peace. In this week’s episode, the cameras follow these officers as they work the chaotic, unpredictable, and often dangerous landscape of Brighton after dark.
Night Coppers Leanne and Emily find themselves dealing with the aftermath of a car crash. Their pursuit of a suspected dangerous driver tests their skills and patience. Elsewhere, Ollie and Harry, who are firm friends both on and off duty, find themselves called to an argument between housemates that could escalate into violence. And for Pete, a routine patrol in the city center takes an unexpected turn when his keen observation skills reveal something out of the ordinary.
From drunken altercations to serious assaults, drug-related incidents, and sexual violence, “Night Coppers” takes an unflinching look at the challenges of policing a city at night. Episode 3 of this third series airs Monday, 19 May at 10:00 PM GMT on Channel 4.
