Nine has clinched the exclusive Australian media rights to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, locking in a multi-platform broadcast deal that will see the event air across Channel 9, 9Now, Stan Sport, and Nine’s broader news and radio footprint.
The agreement gives Nine full domestic control over coverage of the Games, which will run from March 6–15, 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Paralympic Winter Games held in 1976. More than 650 athletes from around 50 nations are expected to compete across 79 medal events in six disciplines.
In addition to its flagship linear and streaming assets, Nine will deploy its entire media arsenal—talk radio (2GB, 3AW, 6PR, 4BC) and digital news brands including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and nine.com.au—to provide wall-to-wall coverage and athlete-driven storytelling.
The move deepens Nine’s foothold in Paralympic sports following its broadcast of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and positions the network as a go-to destination for Aussie fans seeking inclusive, high-impact sports coverage across platforms.
