Nobody Wants This is officially coming back. Netflix has locked in Thursday, October 23, 2025, for the return of the dark comedy, with Kristen Bell and creator Erin Foster confirming the news live at the streamer’s FYSEE LA Emmy showcase.
The announcement comes on the heels of a strong rookie run. Season 1 notched 57 million views globally, spending six weeks on Netflix’s Global English Top 10 list and cracking the Top 10 in 89 countries. Produced by 20th Television, the series proved sticky with audiences thanks to Bell and Adam Brody’s unlikely pairing as a lapsed podcast host and a left-of-center rabbi.
Foster, who created the series, is back for Season 2 alongside showrunners Bruce Eric Kaplan and Jenni Konner. The new season adds Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Arian Moayed to the guest roster, while core cast Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, and Stephanie Faracy are all returning.
The pickup keeps momentum going for Netflix as it doubles down on Emmy hopefuls with built-in audience buzz. The first season dropped in September 2024.
