Hulu has released the second season of its dark Irish comedy Obituary, with all six episodes now available to stream on the platform. The new season arrives with a fresh trailer that finds the show’s murderous protagonist, Elvira, on the other side of a crime she did not commit.
The story picks up with obituary writer Elvira Coyle, played by Siobhán Cullen, reeling from the death of her father. The pressure of her secrets begins to fracture her relationship with Emerson (Ronan Raftery), just as she must contend with a ruthless new boss and a scheming intern at work. Her life spirals further when she is implicated in a murder, forcing her to fight for control of a situation she can’t write her way out of.
The cast for the second season also includes BAFTA-nominee Máiréad Tyers (Extraordinary), David Ganly, and Noni Stapleton. The series was created and written by Ray Lawlor.
New directors for this season include Rachel Carey (Deadly Cuts) and Gary Shore (Dracula Untold). Laurent Boissel and Paddy Hayes serve as executive producers, with Gemma O’Shaughnessy producing.
