The competition to run a 600-acre dream farm in Snowdonia National Park intensifies this Saturday on Channel 4’s “Our Dream Farm with Matt Baker.” Seven hopefuls remain, all vying for the life-changing opportunity to manage this stunning property, complete with a farmhouse, holiday lets, and breathtaking views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
This week, the applicants face a double challenge that will test their farming skills and hospitality prowess. First, they must wrangle a flock of 130 sheep that have taken their freedom a little too seriously. Losing control of the sheep means they have to wrangle the flock back under control. Then, it’s time to roll out the welcome mat for the farm’s first tourists. From preparing the accommodation to serving up a hearty breakfast and conducting a farm tour, the applicants must prove they can handle the demands of both livestock and visitors.
With Eryri General Manager Trystan Edwards and the National Trust’s Land and Estates Director, Giles Hunt, keeping a close watch, the pressure is on. Tune in to Channel 4 this Saturday, March 22nd at 7:15 PM to see who thrives under pressure – and who gets fleeced by the challenges of farm life.
