Channel 4’s “Our Dream Farm With Matt Baker” returns, and this week, the competition heats up as seven hopefuls continue their quest to secure a life-changing tenancy on a remarkable 600-acre farm nestled within Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
With Matt Baker as their guide, the remaining contestants face a series of challenges designed to test not only their practical farming skills, but also their business sense and commitment to conservation. This week, the tasks include caring for a new litter of piglets – complete with building a suitable pig pen – and venturing to the charming village of Portmeirion to test their direct-selling skills with Welsh produce.
The prize at stake is substantial: a 15-year tenancy on a dream farm that includes a four-bedroom farmhouse, holiday accommodations, breathtaking views of Yr Wyddfa (Wales’s highest mountain), and access to a serene lake. Overseeing the selection process are Eryri General Manager Trystan Edwards and the National Trust’s Land and Estates Director, Giles Hunt. Their decision will determine which applicant gets the chance to turn their farming dreams into reality.
“Our Dream Farm With Matt Baker” airs Saturday, April 5th at 7:10 PM on Channel 4.
