Amanda Owen, along with her sprawling family, returns to More4 this Tuesday for the second season of “Our Farm Next Door.” Life in the Yorkshire Dales is never dull, especially when you’re renovating a derelict farmhouse. The Owens continue their ambitious project at Anty John’s, determined to transform the dilapidated property into a 21st-century family home. Now that they have permission to extend the adjacent barn the work is piling up.
But as with any renovation, things don’t always go according to plan. A hip operation sidelines Clive, leaving the kids to pick up the slack around the farm. Amanda and daughter Clemmie take a scenic horse ride from Ravenseat to Anty John’s, while Clive, Reuben, and Sid go on a quest to locate a vital spring.
