Guy Martin is back in the saddle—and this time, he’s headed straight into the heart of Vietnam. Our Guy In Vietnam kicks off Sunday, June 1, at 9:00 PM on Channel 4, timed to the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
The new series finds the motorbike racer-turned-TV adventurer digging into Vietnam’s wartime past and future ambitions, all with his usual hands-on approach. In part one, Martin retraces the Ho Chi Minh Trail on two wheels, stops at a decaying American combat base to examine a Huey helicopter graveyard, and—true to form—tries to make his own version of napalm.
It’s not just historical tourism. Martin also stares down a live cluster bomb left behind by the war and explores how Vietnam is grappling with its legacy while racing toward a high-tech future.
Our Guy In Vietnam fits squarely in Martin’s lane: travel, danger, and real-world mechanics—with just enough mayhem to keep audiences guessing.
