Ovation TV to Air “Jack Taylor” on Mystery Alley Saturday Nights

Ovation TV has announced the arrival of 2010 detective series “Jack Taylor” starring Iain Glen as a self-destructive private detective. The show will air on Saturday nights during the Mystery Alley destination. The series will debut on December 16th at 7pm ET.

In the first episode titled “The Guards,” Taylor is hired by a worried mother to find her missing daughter after a series of apparent suicides. However, he becomes suspicious of the mother’s motives. The episode will air on December 16th.

In the second episode titled “The Pikemen,” Taylor encounters a group of local vigilantes known as the Pikemen who are taking the law into their own hands. He ends up on the wrong side of the law himself. The episode will air on December 23rd.

In the third episode titled “The Magdalen Martyrs,” Taylor is hired to investigate past abuses at the Magdalen laundries, a home for “wayward girls.” He is searching for a brutal nun called “Lucifer” and discovers he is not alone in his search. The episode will air on December 30th.

The second season of the show will begin with an episode titled “The Dramatist” where Taylor investigates the death of a female university student. The death is assumed to be drug-related, but Taylor suspects foul play. The episode will air on January 6th.
