This Wednesday, A&E’s “Ozark Law” takes us on a wild ride through the annual Bikefest motorcycle rally at Lake of the Ozarks. With 100,000 bikers descending on the region, it’s a recipe for mayhem, and the local law enforcement has its work cut out.
From traffic control to public intoxication and the occasional biker-related injury, the Lake Ozark and Osage Beach Police Departments, along with state troopers and county sheriff deputies, brace themselves for a weekend of controlled chaos. Corporal Isaiah Huff finds himself investigating a crash between two bikers, with alcohol likely playing a role. Meanwhile, Officer Summer Phillips pulls over a suspected drunk driver – who also happens to be transporting a veiled bride-to-be and her bachelorette party.
As if things weren’t hectic enough, Chief James Boren tries to put a stop to the bikers’ burn-out antics when one rider accidentally sends his motorcycle flying into a crowd of people. An innocent bystander is rushed to the hospital with a serious injury, which raises the stakes. It’s a stark display of how quickly things can turn dangerous during these large-scale events.
“Ozark Law: Bikefest” airs this Wednesday, March 5th at 10:00 PM ET on A&E.
