Ozark Law “Refusal to Comply” (A&E, Wednesday, January 22, 2025)

Ozark Law Key Art

The Lake of the Ozarks: Midwestern vacation destination, placid body of water, backdrop for casual meth-fueled mayhem. At least, that’s the vibe A&E’s Ozark Law cultivates as it follows the men and women of the Lake Ozark and Osage Beach Police Departments. In this week’s episode, “Refusal to Comply,” the summer season cranks the chaos up to eleven.

Forget tranquil sunsets and lazy afternoons on the water. Summer at the Lake of the Ozarks means a surge in visitors and, consequently, a surge in incidents requiring police intervention. The show aims to capture this contrast between the sleepy off-season and the high-octane summer months.

Among the cases featured this week, Corporal Stephen Riner grapples with the aftermath of a road rage incident. Meanwhile, K9 officer Corporal Caleb Harvey and his ever-vigilant partner, Donzi, conduct a vehicle search with their noses twitching for narcotics. Given the episode’s title, “Refusal to Comply,” it’s safe to assume that cooperation won’t be the prevailing theme of the night.
