Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, formerly of “Top Gear,” are reuniting for a new three-part road trip series for the BBC, titled “Paddy and Chris: Road Trippin’.”
The series will see the duo embark on a journey across Europe, exploring different approaches to ageing and uncovering secrets to living a long and fulfilling life. McGuinness and Harris will visit Sweden, Greece, and Switzerland, interacting with some of the world’s happiest, healthiest, and longest-living people, while also immersing themselves in the culture of each country.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Paddy McGuinness said: “I’m very much looking forward to getting back on the road with Chris Harris… He doesn’t believe in deodorant. On the plus side, he’ll give me something to laugh at along the way. Bring it on!”
Chris Harris added: “Paddy’s idea of long-haul travel is driving from Bolton to Blackpool, so this European road trip should be a real eye-opener for both of us… Viewers will hopefully take something rewarding away from our deep-dive into the secrets of human longevity.”
“Paddy and Chris: Road Trippin'” marks a new direction for the former “Top Gear” presenters following the indefinite shelving of the car show in December 2022 after a serious crash involving presenter Freddie Flintoff. The BBC has stated its commitment to working with Flintoff, Harris, and McGuinness on future projects.
