Paramount+ has announced the premiere date and released a teaser trailer for its upcoming original drama series, “Happy Face.” The series, based on the true story of Melissa G. Moore, whose father was the notorious Happy Face Killer, boasts a cast that includes Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne, and Benjamin Mackey.

“Happy Face” draws inspiration from Moore’s life experiences, the acclaimed iHeartPodcasts podcast of the same name, and Moore’s autobiography, “Shattered Silence.” The narrative centers on Melissa (Ashford) as she confronts her past when her incarcerated father (Quaid) re-enters her life. She embarks on a desperate quest to prevent the wrongful execution of an innocent man while grappling with the devastating legacy of her father’s crimes and her own identity.
