Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: Opening Ceremony (Channel 4, Wednesday 28 August 2024)

The Paralympic Games arrive in Paris for the very first time, and Channel 4 will bring viewers live coverage of the opening ceremony.

This unique event will be held outside the stadium, with athletes parading up the iconic Avenue des Champs-Elysees to the Place de la Concorde. An expected crowd of 65,000 spectators will witness this spectacular start to the Games.

Over the next 11 days of sporting action, more than 4,000 athletes will compete across 549 events in 22 sports. The athletes will be aiming for glory, fulfilling their competitive dreams, and hoping to take home medals from the French capital.
