Peacemaker starring John Cena Renewed for Season Two on Binge
The action comedy series Peacemaker, starring John Cena, has been renewed for a second season.
Season one of the eight-episode series, from The Suicide Squad writer and director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran, investigates the roots of a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at all costs, no matter how many people he has to kill to attain it. For season two, Gunn will direct and write all of the episodes.
Season one cast includes: Cena as Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.
Binge Executive Director, Alison Hurbert-Burns said:
“Peacemaker isn’t like any other superhero show on TV, it’s unexpected and funny and we are thrilled that there is another season coming for the growing DC fans here in Australia.”
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, Peacemaker is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
DC fans can enjoy every episode of Peacemaker season one streaming now on Binge.
