In this episode of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, viewers will witness aspiring magicians showcasing their best tricks in an attempt to deceive the renowned duo, Penn & Teller. The episode, titled “Shut Up – You Fooled Us!,” features a diverse lineup of talented performers, including Jason and Stacy Alan, a husband-and-wife duo who combine magic and mentalism.

The Alans, based in Northeast Ohio, have a unique dynamic, with Jason’s background in sleight-of-hand magic and Stacy’s expertise in psychology and mentalism. They met while Stacy was working as a therapist, and their shared passion for magic brought them together. Their act, “In Cahoots, an Evening of Magic and Mentalism,” has become a longstanding success in Cleveland, and they have performed for notable organisations such as Progressive Insurance, Parker Hannifin, and Rocket Mortgage.

The episode will also feature other talented magicians, each bringing their unique style and skills to the stage. The lineup includes Markobi, a French magician, is a master of card magic and was crowned the World Champion of Card Magic at the 2022 FISM competition in Quebec, Canada. His award-winning routine combines a seemingly messy and uncontrolled presentation with mind-blowing reveals, leaving fellow magicians in awe. Markobi’s performance on the show includes a bag of chips, adding to the humour and unpredictability of his act.

Luis Olmedo, a magician from Spain, is a World Champion of Magic, specifically in the Micro Magic division. He has showcase his magic around the world, from Hollywood to Tokyo, Paris, and Beijing. Olmedo’s magic combines exquisite technique with ingenious thinking, resulting in a level of impossibility that astounds audiences. His act includes effects such as “Contagious Transposition,” where four Chinese coins magically transform into silver coins, and “Canvas,” where a blank deck of cards transforms into picture cards.

Alyx Hilshey is a Vermont-based, nationally touring comedy magician known for her street magic performances. She has honed her craft on the streets of popular tourist destinations, bringing an authentic street theatre experience to the stage. Hilshey’s magic combines sleight of hand with a delightful sense of humour, creating incredible moments with common objects. She has performed at renowned venues such as the Smoke and Mirrors Magic Theater in Philadelphia, the Chicago Magic Lounge, and the Boston Magic Lab.

Penn & Teller: Fool Us has become a celebrated platform for magicians, offering them a rare opportunity to showcase their talents and potentially perform alongside Penn & Teller in their Las Vegas show. The show, now in its tenth season, is hosted by Brooke Burke and judged by the comedic illusionist duo, Penn Jillette and Teller.
