“A Place In The Sun: What Happened Next?” returns to Channel 4 this Monday, revisiting past house-hunters who took the plunge and purchased their dream homes abroad, offering viewers a look at how these transformations have played out, from bargain renovations to, well, alpaca farming.
First up, Danni Menzies catches up with Jackie, who, back in 2017, snagged an apartment in Almoradí on Spain’s Costa Blanca for under £50,000. With access to a pool and a private roof terrace, the apartment had serious potential. Now, years later, viewers will get to see how Jackie has modernized her space and made it her own.
Then, it’s off to the French countryside with Sara Damergi as she visits Jules and Gaynor. This adventurous couple purchased a farmstead with alpacas in Charente, France, back in 2021 for £260,000. Their goal: to create a super-cosy home, a profitable gîte, and, of course, a thriving alpaca business. Sara even tries her hand at preparing alpaca fleece – because why not? The visit also includes a trip to Jules and Gaynor’s favorite town for some artisan chocolate tasting.
“A Place In The Sun: What Happened Next?” airs Monday, March 24th at 6:00 PM on Channel 4.
