From the playing field to the quizzing arena. A new batch of sports personalities are about to discover that general knowledge is a whole different ball game. This Saturday, “Pointless Celebrities” returns with a sports-themed special, and let’s just say, some of these athletes might be a little out of their depth. Don’t worry though, they will likely all have a great time.
Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, the nation’s favorite quizzing duo, are back to guide our intrepid contestants through the treacherous world of pointless answers. The lineup includes a mix of familiar faces from various sporting disciplines, including Vanessa Bauer, Beth Tweddle MBE, Anita Asante, William Bayley MBE, Jack Laugher MBE, Ellie Robinson MBE, Sarah Hunter MBE, and Ugo Monye. That’s quite a roster.
Four teams will battle it out, desperately trying to dredge up the most obscure answers imaginable. Will they succeed? Will they fail spectacularly? Will Richard Osman finally crack a smile? These are the burning questions that will keep us glued to our screens. Well, maybe not the last one.
