Here’s the Lowdown: Charlie Cale (Lyonne) is back, using her talent for spotting falsehoods to solve a whole new batch of mysteries. Season 2 takes Charlie on an adventurous road trip, with each new episode presenting a self-contained case, a different location, and a whole host of, in the words of the show’s creators, “eccentric characters” played by a “truly gonzo parade of guest stars.” Series creators Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne are taking inspiration from 70s cinema and classic episodic TV shows such as Columbo and The Rockford Files.
