More4’s hit music quiz show PopMaster TV, presented by iconic radio DJ Ken Bruce, is set to return for two additional series. Produced by 12 Yard Productions, part of ITV Studios, 20 new episodes have been commissioned. This includes two 9×60’ series along with two festive celebrity editions scheduled for Christmas 2024. Filming will once again take place in Glasgow.
The show, based on the classic radio quiz co-created by Ken Bruce and the late Phil Swern, tests contestants on their extensive musical knowledge. Participants compete to win the coveted PopMaster TV gold disc. The success of the first series made PopMaster TV the top-rated show on More4 during weekday evenings, and the second series doubled the channel’s average ratings for its timeslot on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The new season has been commissioned by Jo Street, More4’s Head of Lifestyle, and Barry Agnew, Commissioning Executive, Lifestyle. Executive producers include Zoë Tait and Ken Bruce. International distribution is being managed by ITV Studios.
