This week’s “Poppa’s House” episode, “Disciplinarian,” finds the family grappling with a parenting predicament that promises classic sitcom mayhem. Will Poppa’s antiquated methods clash with modern parenting techniques? Will Junior and Nina even listen to the wisdom of their elder? The potential for generational comedy is ripe.

It’s a show about family, in all its messy, hilarious, and ultimately heartwarming glory. And honestly, who couldn’t use a little bit of that these days?
