PBS’s long-running documentary series POV returns this Monday with a film exploring the themes of family, memory, and identity. “The Taste of Mango,” directed by Nadia Shihab, presents a multi-generational story focusing on the lives of three women. Through their individual narratives, the film examines the inheritance – both the joys and the burdens – passed down within families.
Some experiences are difficult to process, others are filled with joy, but all provide insights into the ever-changing bonds that connect family members. “The Taste of Mango” looks at how families evolve, adapt, and ultimately find ways to both hurt and protect one another. The film airs Monday, April 28th at 10:00 PM ET on PBS.
