During the Gamescom Opening Night Live global livestream, Prime Video announced its upcoming adult-animated anthology series, Secret Level, which will feature original short stories set within the universes of iconic video games. Created by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, the team behind Love, Death + Robots, the series will offer 15 episodes with groundbreaking animation.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon Studios, said: “[Secret Level] will take our global Prime Video customers on a brand new journey with breathtaking animation and imaginative storytelling.”
Each episode of Secret Level unlocks a different adventure, from gaming classics to new titles. The series includes stories inspired by Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, PlayStation, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, and Warhammer 40,000.
Secret Level is created and executive-produced by Tim Miller, with Dave Wilson also serving as an executive producer and supervising director. The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories from 10 December 2024.
