Prime Video Celebrates 25 Years of Reality TV with The GOAT
To commemorate 25 years of reality television, Prime Video has assembled an impressive roster of former contestants from various reality shows for its new series, The GOAT. The show, hosted by comedian Daniel Tosh, will see 14 reality superstars move into GOAT Manor to compete in a range of challenges. With a mix of strong players and clueless contestants, the group will battle it out for a $200,000 prize and the prestigious title of “Greatest of All Time.”
The diverse lineup includes Tayshia Adams (The Bachelor franchise), Joe Amabile (The Bachelor franchise, Dancing with the Stars), Kristen Doute (Vanderpump Rules), Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset), CJ Franco (FBoy Island), Wendell Holland (Survivor), Teck Holmes (The Real World, The Challenge), Justin Johnson/Alyssa Edwards (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Paola Mayfield (90 Day Fiancé), Da’Vonne Rogers (Big Brother, The Challenge), Joey Sasso (The Circle, Perfect Match), Jason Smith (Holiday Baking Championship), Lauren Speed-Hamilton (Love Is Blind), and Jill Zarin (The Real Housewives of New York City).
These reality stars will face off in over 20 challenges, testing their mental, physical, and social prowess. The format of the show follows a recent trend of bringing together cast members from different reality shows to compete against each other. The contestants of The GOAT represent a wide range of reality shows, including The Bachelor franchise, Big Brother, Love Is Blind, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Holiday Baking Championship, among others.
The GOAT is executive produced by Elan Gale, Bill Dixon, Anthony Anderson, Lee Eisenberg, Michael Friedman, Howard T. Owens, Isabel San Vargas, Ben Silverman, Audrey Smith, Daniel Tosh, and Matthew M. Welty. Bill Dixon also serves as showrunner, while Michael Shea directs the series. The show is a collaboration between Propagate and Amazon Studios.
The first three episodes of The GOAT will debut on May 9, 2024, on Prime Video worldwide and Amazon Freevee in the US, UK, Germany, and Austria. New episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays until June 27.
