Prime Video Orders Third and Final Season of Good Omens

Amazon’s Prime Video has confirmed that it has ordered a third and final season for the hit series “Good Omens.” The forthcoming season aims to bring to life a conversation that took place nearly 35 years ago between Neil Gaiman and the late Sir Terry Pratchett, as they mapped out the future of the beloved characters in their bestselling novel.

The head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders, expressed excitement about the final season, stating, “Good Omens has checked every box for a clever, witty, and funny comedy.” According to Sanders, the upcoming season is expected to deliver the same dynamic energy that global audiences have come to enjoy.

Series co-creator Neil Gaiman also shared his enthusiasm about finally being able to finish the story that he and Pratchett first plotted in 1989. The new season, which is set to deal once more with the end of the world, will see the characters Crowley and Aziraphale working together to put things right.

Rob Wilkins, the executive producer of “Good Omens,” expressed delight about the return of the characters Crowley and Aziraphale and the reunion of the award-winning actors David Tennant and Michael Sheen. He also acknowledged the absence of Terry Pratchett and wished he could be a part of the journey.
